Muny helps people save with intent, set a goal, fund it, watch it grow, while keeping income and spending legible in one place. The client arrived with a working product and a clear ask: keep what works, but rebuild the experience so it feels modern enough to hold someone's money.

A rebuilt product system for goal-based saving: turning what felt like data entry into visible, motivating progress.

Muny (Fintech)

Challenge:

The existing Muny worked but didn't motivate. Saving is emotional and the interface treated it as data entry, goals read as list rows rather than progress, the home screen buried the one number people open the app to see, and the visual language didn't earn the trust a finance product needs.

Approach:

I started from the client's own screens to lock scope, then mapped the core flows: Home, Goals, Insights, Transactions and Profile. From there it moved through wireframes into a high-fidelity system with a defined type scale, consistent spacing and a purple-led palette that reads as encouragement rather than accounting.

Results:

The redesign delivered a complete, consistent product: five core sections rebuilt into one system, a defined UI foundation to grow on, and a clear before-and-after that shows the distance travelled, which mattered to the client as much as the screens did, because it made the value of the rebuild legible.
